EGO-X exhaust system for Audi RS5 (FU5) plug-in hybrid – now available for pre-order
ECE certification passed. Pre-orders started.
The development of our new EGO-X exhaust system for the Audi RS5 (FU5) plug-in hybrid has reached the next crucial milestone:
The system has successfully passed the ECE noise measurement and is now available for pre-order.
We are currently waiting exclusively for the final documents from the KBA (German Federal Motor Transport Authority). As soon as these are available, delivery of the ECE-approved systems can begin.
The entire system is developed, tested and manufactured as usual in our factory in Lübeck.
Dual flow in 76 mm – uncompromising full-flow
The EGO-X exhaust system is fully dual-flow with a 76 mm diameter and is consistently designed for maximum exhaust gas flow.
With the exhaust flaps open, a continuous 76 mm straight pipe routing is available on both exhaust streams. The exhaust gases are routed directly through the system without being diverted by additional silencers.
With the flaps closed, the exhaust gases are routed through a silencer on each side. This results in a significantly quieter sound for everyday driving.
The system uses the vehicle's original exhaust flap actuators . Control therefore continues to be via the standard vehicle logic and existing driving modes.

Developed for the new Audi RS5
The 2.9-liter V6 biturbo engine in combination with the plug-in hybrid system places special demands on design, packaging, noise development and exhaust routing.
Therefore, our development team did not simply adapt an existing system, but developed a completely new system for the FU5 platform.
The focus was on:
- maximum exhaust gas flow rate
- low exhaust back pressure
- clearly defined exhaust paths
- optimal use of the standard flap control
- powerful sound with the flaps open
- Pleasant everyday usability with the flaps closed
- high-quality workmanship and long-lasting durability
ECE approval
The noise measurement required for ECE homologation was successfully passed.
The final documents are currently still with the KBA (German Federal Motor Transport Authority). Delivery of the ECE version will take place as soon as the complete approval documents are available.
Since the system is currently still in pre-order status, the final delivery date may be delayed depending on the processing time of the responsible authority.

By pre-ordering, you secure a system from the first available production series.
Production and preparation are already underway. Shipping will take place as soon as the KBA documentation is complete and the ECE version can be officially delivered.

The vehicle's original flap actuators are reused and are not included in the scope of delivery.
EGO-X – two sound characteristics, one system
With the flaps open, the system offers an uncompromising, dual-flow 76 mm straight exhaust path.
The new EGO-X exhaust system combines maximum flow and an emotional sound with the everyday usability of the standard valve control.
With the flaps closed, the exhaust gases from both cylinder banks are routed through the specially developed pipe system and over the two silencers located on the driver's side.
This effectively dampens the entire exhaust system and achieves a pleasantly subdued sound for everyday use.
